TV Bank and Digital Hollywood jointly hold a short movie contest (no theme restrictions)
- Discovering next-generation creators through screenings by Yahoo! Streaming viewers, Mr. Sugiyama (Director and Head of Digital Hollywood) and other judges -

TV Bank Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative and President: Masayoshi Son; hereinafter TV Bank) and Digital Hollywood, Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Shinsuke Fujimoto; hereinafter Digital Hollywood), a company running an IT and digital content school, today began to accept entries for a short movie contest (no theme restrictions) being jointly held by the two companies.
For this contest, the solicitation of entries, voting by viewers, and announcement of the winners will all be implemented on Yahoo! Streaming (http://streaming.yahoo.co.jp/), a video portal site provided by Yahoo Japan Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masahiro Inoue). The entries selected by the contest secretariat at the first screening will be publicized on Yahoo! Streaming and viewer voting will be conducted. The most popular works will then be subjected to a final screening where a panel of guest judges, including Mr. Tomoyuki Sugiyama (Director and Head of School, Digital Hollywood), Mr. Riichiro Mashima (video artist), and Mr. Masato Ochi (producer), and the contest secretariat will decide the Grand Award winner and Digital Hollywood Award winners after strict examination of the works.
The contest, for which entries will be solicited and voting will be conducted on Japan’s largest video portal site, is expected to reflect the opinions of a great number of viewers and play an important role in discovering creators with huge potential in various genres of video.
TV Bank will continue to hold this type of video contest, and, by taking advantage of the interactive capability of the Internet and calling for users to contribute content, serve as a new communication center for video lovers.

Mr. Tomoyuki Sugiyama (Director and Head of Digital Hollywood, President of Digital
Hollywood University and Graduate School, Doctor of Engineering)
Mr. Sugiyama is one of the cofounders who established Digital Hollywood in October 1994, and he has been dedicated to and succeeded in nurturing many talented next-generation creators ever since. While being active in the development of Internet businesses, he has also been appointed as a member of the Digital Radio Promotion Association’s Program Council, and serves on a variety of other committees of the Computer Graphic Arts Society, Digital Content Association of Japan, and many other organizations.
Mr. Riichiro Mashima (video artist)
After graduating from the Chiba University Department of Design and Architecture and its graduate school, and working for a large architect’s office, Mr. Mashima entered Digital Hollywood as a student. He became the center of attention when his graduation work, "Ski Jumping Pairs," won several awards at film festivals. The "Ski Jumping Pairs" DVD series also became very popular, and more than 500,000 copies have been sold.
Mr. Masato Ochi (producer)
Mr. Ochi has been planning, directing and producing many popular TV programs. He is now involved in many other activities and is acclaimed as a designer in various fields, lyric writer, commercial director, radio personality, book author, etc.
