TV Bank Corporation
TV Bank Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative and President: Masayoshi Son; hereinafter TV Bank) upgraded its β-version video search function introduced in October last year and made it available to the public today. This new video search function enables crawling over not only video contents themselves but also their accompanied text, and thanks to the unique algorithm, is capable of displaying video contents that match the keywords input by a user on top of the list at high accuracy. The new video search function is available on the top page of Yahoo! Streaming (http://streaming.yahoo.co.jp/), a video portal site provided by Yahoo Japan Corporation.

The upgraded video search function features the renewed user interface, the narrowing-down research based on genres (sports, animations, etc.), file types (Windows Media Player, etc.), image quality, and play time, and the recommended keyword display to provide easy access to many popular video contents on the web. Furthermore, the collaboration with Wikipedia search engines and the "kizasi.jp" search engine has also been strengthened. Video ads, as well as sponsored search ads provided by Overture K.K., that correlate to the keywords input by a viewer are also displayed.

TV Bank will continue to enhance the accuracy of video research and thereby further raise the value of Yahoo! Streaming as a video portal site, while working hard to establish the advertising fee based business as early as possible.
